Once the audit is completed, the examiner will prepare an audit report on form 4549. The report will list all changes made, additions and subtractions, as well as any penalties assessed.

Note: The report you're viewing had an assessment of $7180 for the Accuracy Related Penalty IRC 6662. Ouch!

At this time of the audit, your client can agree to the audit by signing off on it or not agree. if that is the case, the examiner will then prepare a thirty-day letter and send it to you. The thirty-day letter is to appeal the case.
